What time should flights be scheduled to arrive and depart at Orlando Airport?

What time is check-in for those driving to Kissimmee?
Check-in will begin at 3:30pm for participants driving to the symposium.
How will my daughter get from the Orlando MCO airport to the Kissimmee hotel?
Shine Symposium staff members will meet each girl at the Orlando MCO Airport baggage claim upon their arrival and transport them to the hotel for check in on Friday. Ground transportation for departing flights on Monday will also be provided. Your daughter will be accompanied by staff through check-in to the security area.
Will there be security at the Symposiums?
Each small group of girls will be assigned a Sponsor chaperone for the duration of the event.
In addition to our Sponsors, Shine will have professional security on site for the duration of the Symposium to ensure safety.
What are the age restrictions for those attending?
Shine Symposiums is open to middle school and high school athletic girls, ages 13-18. (at the date of the symposium)
Can my daughter request a roommate?
We will send out roommate request forms nearer to the event. We will make every effort to honor requests.
Will the speakers have personal interaction with my daughter?
Definitely! We believe that young women that interact with mentors and sponsors build confidence. Breakout sessions will take place throughout the weekend so that our speakers and attendees have the opportunity to personally interact. Shine speakers will also participate in fun activities with the attendees.
What meals will be provided & are special diets accommodated?
All meals will be provided at the Symposium including: Welcome Key Note Dinner Friday evening, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday, breakfast Monday, and a lunch box on Monday at check out. Healthy snacks will also be provided. Let us know during registration if your daughter has any dietary requests and we will make sure there are menu items specific to her needs.
